Nintendo 64
Released first in June 23rd 1996 in Japan, the Nintendo 64 system has racked up over 32.95 million sales. Along with this 387 games were released for it. This made for a comparatively easy emulation when the time came in about 1999 with the release of UltraHLE (or UltraHighLevelEmulation). This emulator was made just 3 years after the first console was sold. From 1999 many new improved Nintendo 64 emulators have arisen, even one for iOS. For Windows, Project 64 and Mupen64plus are popular choices. These two emulators run smoothly and can both play almost every game on the Nintendo 64 system. Mupen64plus also works for Mac OSX but sixtyforce is equally as powerful. If you're having trouble deciding which emulator is better, just choose one at random. Overall they do all the basic functions and have native support for connecting controllers to them.
